Elvey adds Nice Hansa gate motors to product range
Aware of the frighteningly high numbers of car hijackings and robberies that take place on residential properties in South Africa each year, Elvey Security Technologies has added Nice Hansa to its gate automation product range.
According to the South African Police Service (SAPS), 13 900 car hijackings and 18 786 residential robberies were reported during the 2009/2010 financial year.
“These are horrifying statistics,” says Ingo Mutinelli national sales manager for Elvey Security Technologies, “and what’s even more disturbing is that, according to SAPS, the vast majority of house robberies are committed with firearms.”
He adds: “Most homes have entry points for vehicles. Constantly on the lookout for vulnerable premises, criminals are quick to identify weaknesses such as gates that have to be manually opened.”
Determined to provide clients with the latest and best in access point security, Elvey’s decision to include Nice Hansa in its impressive product line-up comes on the back of the manufacturer’s reputation for performance and reliability.
Manufactured in South Africa and designed to withstand the harshest conditions, the Nice Hansa range is the benchmark in gate automation, avers Mr Mutinelli. “Extremely reliable and durable, the products have a reputation for providing users with years and years of hassle-free service.”
The Nice Hansa gate motor offers an array of security features, including fast close, auto close timer and current overload detection. Its sensitivity adjustment feature increases the gate’s operational safety. For those wanting to up the safety ante, infrared beams can be added to prevent the gate from closing on people or vehicles.
The motor can also be programmed to open at predefined times for specified pedestrians such as gardeners and domestic workers. Designed to avoid jerking open and banging shut, the motor’s multi-speed controller is the answer to soft starts and finishes.
Another impressive safety and convenience feature is the courtesy light. Not only does it illuminate the point of access for home owners at night but, with a 24V battery back-up, its efficacy is uncompromised by power failures.
Other attractive features of the Nice Hansa gate motor are the tensioned adjustable safety clutch, manual gate release operation, holiday lock-out and panic button.
