Committed to meeting the ever-evolving needs of security product users, CEM Systems has again underpinned its industry leader status with the release of the new AC2000 SE application.
Packed with innovative new features, which include web applications, support for DSC Power Series intruder alarm panels and American Dynamics’ latest video security products, the AC2000 SE (Standard Edition) system has received a resounding thumbs-up from its distributor.
Says Zane Greeff, technical director for Elvey Security Technologies: “Version 6.3 of the AC2000 SE offers powerful integration capabilities. Using the latest products from DSC, American Dynamics’ Hybrid-DVR (HDVR) and Videoedge’s NVR4 video solutions, it boasts a host of new functions designed to enhance user operations.”
For starters, its web application feature enables customers to access various AC2000 SE applications via a standard web browser, without having to install dedicated software. Applications such as ‘Web Visitor Management’, ‘Web Alarm Status Display’ and ‘Web Door Status Display’ allow users to create schedules for visitors, issue visitor cards and create a multitude of web-based reports.
Not only does the AC2000 SE support the complete American Dynamics Intellex range as well as a multitude of Bosch, Synectics and Indigovision integrations, it also now supports full two-way integration with American Dynamics Hybrid-DVR (HDVR) and Videoedge NVR4 video products. Accordingly, customers can control cameras, view live camera footage and play back recorded video footage, all from within the central CEM alarm and event monitoring application.
Version 6. 3 also features increased support for the DSC Power Series range of intruder alarm panels. Using a fully integrated, virtual keypad, functions such as configuring zones and arming or disarming, can be centrally performed. Inputs from the Power Series panels can also be placed on central alarm event display graphical maps with instructions to send SMS text messages or emails on specified intruder alarms. As a result, operators are quickly able to identify alarms and their exact locations, thereby allowing for speedy response times and a centralised viewpoint of all security systems.
Other features and improvements include the “Getting Started Wizard”, which helps administrators configure the new system. The personnel CSV import tool allows for the importation of cardholder details via a simple, intuitive user interface. Designed for use in car parks, the new zone occupancy application makes it possible to set maximum occupancy levels so that, when the parking area becomes full, an open/close command is issued.
